125th Anniversary Celebrations
The spirit of achievement and celebration reigns over
ICAEW from its home base in the United Kingdom and across
the globe spanning Brussels, Hong Kong, New York and Malaysia.
A member resource of 126,000 of the world’s best thinkers
and corporate top brass will be one in commemorating the
125th anniversary of the signing of the Institute’s
Royal Charter. A variety of activities will be rolled
out throughout 2005 in five countries to mark "125
years of business excellence." Anniversary Dinner: A Black Tie, Red Carpet Gala ICAEW Malaysia will be having its anniversary celebrations
via a black tie, red carpet gala dubbed the "ICAEW
Malaysia Achiever's Ball." Bedecked
with the obligatory glamour and glitz reminiscent of the
Oscars' pomp and pageantry, the ball will be graced
by the presence of YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji
Abdul Razak, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, as Guest
of Honour. The dinner will be held on 14th September
2005 at the Palace of the Golden Horses where a highlight
of the evening would be the first-ever honour and recognition
to be bestowed by the Malaysian Chapter on its most illustrious
member for a lifetime of achievements in promoting and
advancing Chartered Accountancy in Malaysia as a profession.
