ICAEW Malaysia 125th Anniversary Achievers' Ball

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), Malaysian Chapter, celebrated the 125th anniversary of it's the Institute's Royal Charter signing with a gala dinner at the Palace of the Golden Horses on 14th September, 2005.

Dubbed the "ICAEW Malaysia Achievers' Ball," the high-level event saw a stronghold of local Chartered Accountants in attendance comprising the "who's who" of corporate Malaysia and with Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak as Guest of Honour.  The celebrated affair likewise coincided with a varied programme of activities that are rolling out throughout 2005 across London, Brussels, Hong Kong and New York.

The ICAEW Malaysia Achievers' Ball marked the third year since the establishment of ICAEW Malaysia.  During the gala, the Deputy Prime Minister commended the Institute for its efforts in promoting accountancy as a profession of choice among today's youngsters.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of senior members and prominent members of the Institute in Malaysia via a video presentation.

The night ended with lucky draws with gifts sponsored by Megaman, Nokia, MAA, Country Heights, Tradewinds Insurance and Slim and Trim, with Audi ending the night with an amusing auction. All in all, a night packed with entertainment and good fun, with great food to boot!
